Open Source @ ValueCloud

At ValueCloud, Open Source technology is a core component of our daily work.
As part of this journey, we see ourselves as an active part of the community.

We strongly believe in the power of Open Source and its benefits for the society and economy

Own Open Source tooling

We’re developing and maintaining a suite of tools (“Centros framework”), consisting of several single sub-projects), primarily intended to simplify working with event-driven, microservice-centric software systems.

Contributing to community-driven projects

As part of our broad engagement in various customer projects, we regularly contribute to large, community-driven projects across the Cloud native technology stack.

Our Open Source activities

Besides the actual Platform Services packages, we’re also engaged in building out Open Source tooling around the Cloud native tech stack.

A collection of components and utilities designed to facilitate the development and deployment of microservice architectures using event-based communication between service instances. We’re originator and maintainer.

Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes in various deployment configurations. We’re a contributor.

Capi-2-Argo Cluster Operator (CACO) converts ClusterAPI Cluster credentials into ArgoCD Cluster definitions and keep them synchronized. We’re a contributor.

If you’re interested in our Open Source activities, we’d  to hear from you
